Instructors Program

For those of you that have advanced through your career as a professional Aesthetician or have a burning desire to teach, our Instructor Program is the exciting path to your goals. Washington State requires Aesthetic Instructors complete a 500-hour Instructor Program at a State accredited school.

Day Spa Academy’s Aesthetic Instructor Program is designed to increase effectiveness in the classroom by improving communication skills, installing confidence and educating our student instructors by teaching techniques for managing the classroom.

Our Instructor Program curriculum includes structured classes in lesson planning, student motivation, skill observation and practice, public speaking, classroom management, record keeping and hands-on student instruction. We make it our mission to thoroughly prepare all Student instructors to pass the National Instructor’s Examination upon program completion.

Student instructors are required to attend structured classes twice per week in two-hour increments and are responsible for corresponding homework assignments as part of their student instruction preparation. Student instruction hours are flexible but must remain at a minimum of 6 hours per week to continue through the program.
