Day Spa Academy’s Aesthetic Program builds from a strong foundation of skin care education, and introduces advanced beauty and wellness techniques practiced throughout the globe.

Day Spa Academy’s Aesthetics curriculum is based on state-of-the-art scientific advances combined with the best traditional European and American techniques in skin care. Students will be expected to study, electricity and its affects on the skin; galvanic current for iontophoresis or desincrustation, lasers, ultrasonics, high frequency current, the use of the magnifying and woods lamp, brush, spray and suction machines, vaporizers and pulverizors. The advantages of skin exfoliation, through various peels and microdermabrasion techniques will be covered as well.

While the Academy emphasizes skin care as the focal point of our program, we offer classes in wellness and holistic healing as well. Modern skin care demands an “inside-out” approach and the best Aestheticians are well versed in the skins reaction to environmental and physical stresses as well as nutrition in order to properly assess the skin care needs of their guests.

Today, the creative possibilities that today’s makeup products and application tools have to offer are endless. Our makeup application classes focus on everything from color theory to highlighting and contouring, precision eye makeup, brow shaping, lash applications, color blending, lip enhancement and corrective makeup. You’ll gain the hands on experience in virtually every aspect of makeup application.

Hair removal techniques using both hard and soft waxes as well as threading will be learned along with spa treatments, facial massage, botanicals and aromatherapy, pharmacology as it pertains to skin care, anatomy and physiology, safety and sanitation, professional ethics and business practices complete Day Spa Academy’s well rounded approach to skin care.
